This 1 hour class is offered monthly and covers basic restraint, subcutaneous(SQ) and intraperitoneal (IP) injections in mice and rats through demonstration and hands-on training. It is an excellent class for new animal handlers or animal handlers that need a refresher for basic handling and injection techniques.

Pre-registration is required by emailing animalwelfare@virginia.edu. Space is limited and the roster is filled on a first-come-first served basis.

Only APPROVED animal handlers are permitted to pre-register and attend.
